Help for treatment & sterilization of Radhey

 Here's the story of 'Radhey'...


The PAWS staff first noticed Radhey lying down on her side beside 'Fatik Sadhu Mandir', which is nearby to the shelter.
At first, they didn't pay attention as there are a lot of street dogs in the area.
However, during multiple up and down movements with the ambulance, they saw the dog lying still at one place.
When they got near, the dog panicked and ran away, but not before our staff noticed the huge VG that was painfully bothering her.
Multiple attempts to capture her went to waste as she was afraid of the PAWS staff.
However, she was finally captured and brought to the PAWS shelter on 9th March 2023.
Treatment started immidiately considering her condition, and we plan to cure her VG fully & then sterilize her before releasing.
Like quite a few dogs at the PAWS shelter, Radhey is without a mentor who can pay for her treatment.

PAWS কর্মীরা প্রথমে লক্ষ্য করেন রাধে 'ফটিক সাধু মন্দির' এর পাশে শুয়ে আছে, যা কিনা আমাদের শেল্টারের কাছাকাছি।

প্রথমে, তারা গুরুত্ত্ব দেয়নি কারণ এলাকায় প্রচুর রাস্তার কুকুর রয়েছে।

তবে অ্যাম্বুলেন্স নিয়ে একাধিকবার আপ-ডাউন করার সময় তারা কুকুরটিকে একই জায়গায় পড়ে থাকতে দেখেন।

কাছে গেলে পরে কুকুরটি আতঙ্কিত হয়ে পালিয়ে যায়, কিন্তু আমাদের কর্মীরা লক্ষ্য করেন যে কুকুরটির বিশাল বড় VG (ক্যান্সার) আছে।

একাধিক বার চেষ্টা করার পরে, অবশেষে 9ই মার্চ 2023-এ কুকুরটিকে PAWS শেল্টারে আনা হয়।

তার অবস্থা বিবেচনা করে অবিলম্বে চিকিত্সা শুরু হয়, এবং আমরা তার VG সম্পূর্ণভাবে ঠিক করে এবং কুকুরটিকে নির্বীজকরণ করে তারপর তাকে ছাড়বো।

PAWS শেল্টারের বেশ কয়েকটি কুকুরের মতো, রাধের কোন মালিক বা mentor নেই যিনি তার চিকিত্সার জন্য টাকা দিতে পারেন।

অনুগ্রহ করে রাধের চিকিৎসা এবং নির্বীজকরণের জন্য দান করুন, যাতে আমরা অন্তত সেইটুকু খরচ তুলতে পারি।

On the night of 2nd June 2023, I received an information from another animal lover that 2 dogs in an interior part of Madhyamgram were near death , and poisoning was suspected. The video shared by the mentor of the dogs showed both the dogs lying down and breathing heavily. From the video it looked that they have lost all motor functions, and are just waiting to die under the effect of a poisonous substance I reached the location on the night of 3rd June. Emergency anti rabies vaccination

  Condition : 1 puppy with suspected (later confirmed ) rabies, 2 more puppies and their mother with the risk of getting infected Sex : N/A Treatment start date : 21/12/2022 Treatment end date : 14/1/2023 Mentor : Local residents Details : Received a call on 20/12/2022 that a puppy(M) who was bitten by a larger dog a few days back has started acting strange and is biting other dogs & humans. Checked the puppy and it was suspected to be infected with rabies. The said puppy was quarantined and died after 3-4 days. The rest of the 2 pups of the litter and the mother dog were given full post exposure prophylaxis dose of 5 vaccines each on 0,3,7,14,28 days.  Final condition :  One pup(M) died during the vaccination regimen due to unrelated ailment.
