Fund collection for sterilization and treatment

We have been collecting funds via Facebook, primarily for sterilizing a few dogs in areas where there is an overpopulation of dogs, causing resentment among general public. 

Also, sterilization would ensure no new dogs to feed, a general improvement in health, and lesser territorial/mating fights. 

Below are the cash in and out details. To protect the privacy of donors, we have only mentioned the first name. All donations in Indian Rupees.

On the night of 2nd June 2023, I received an information from another animal lover that 2 dogs in an interior part of Madhyamgram were near death , and poisoning was suspected. The video shared by the mentor of the dogs showed both the dogs lying down and breathing heavily. From the video it looked that they have lost all motor functions, and are just waiting to die under the effect of a poisonous substance I reached the location on the night of 3rd June.   Condition : Old female dog with acute weakness, loss of appetite, fever Sex : Female Treatment start date : 18/11/2022 Treatment end date : 21/11/2022 Mentor : Sharmila Banerjee Details : The old dog suddenly stopped eating, developed fever (fluctuating temperature) and got very weak so as not being able to get up on all 4s. IV fluids and antibiotics were given. Throughout treatment the dog could never recover and stand up on all 4 legs. Final condition : Dog died on 22/11/2022

Panda fundraising

Laal, affectionately named Panda by the PAWS shelter staff, was picked up from Madhyamgram Bidhanpally area on 3-Nov-2022. Panda has a very bad case of cancer spread across his testicles and penis area, resulting in huge swelling and infections. After doing a blood test, we also found that he is infected with Babesia (small form), a potentially life threatening blood parasite infecting dogs. Since being admitted to the PAWS shelter over 2 months back, Panda has been given 5 doses of chemotherapy, and has also been receiving treatment for babesia small form. Total cost of treatment for Panda has already crossed Rs 9000, and his mentor, being a small time business man, could stretch his means to only cover appx half of that amount.
